Why the Spirit Came
Last week we examined THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
In that message we saw that we should cultivate communion with the Holy Spirit because:
GOD IS PASSIONATE ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH US (Exodus 34:14)
THE HOLY SPIRIT REVEALS JESUS TO US (John 14:15-18)
THE MEASURE OF OUR FAITH IS IN DIRECT PROPORTION TO OUR COMMUNION WITH HIM (2 Thessalonians 3:5)
As believers it is imperative that we daily seek the communion with the Holy Spirit that is available to us. It is such an important aspect of the life of faith.
The title of my message this morning is WHY THE SPIRIT CAME. Just as we know that it is important to seek the communion of the Holy Spirit, there are other aspects to the coming of the Spirit that we likewise need to understand. Jesus went away, but He sent the Holy Spirit for a reason.
